The significance of having Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) easily accessible in public spaces is immense, particularly in emergency situations where every single second can make a crucial difference. We are thrilled to observe the remarkable impact of our Amoul® AEDs across Spain each day. A recent initiative in the lively town of Motril showcases the essential nature of emergency preparedness and the safety of the community.

The local police force is dedicating exceptional efforts to elevate their emergency response capabilities by outfitting their Police Headquarters and patrol vehicles with five state-of-the-art Amoul® i5 AED devices. This proactive strategy directly addresses the pressing concern of cardiovascular emergencies, which, sadly, continue to be the leading cause of death in Spain. Such actions underscore a profound commitment to safeguarding the health and well-being of the community.

The Local Police of Motril incorporates AEDs at their headquarters and in various public areas.

Accompanying the deployment of these life-saving devices, every police officer has received specialized training in Basic Life Support (BLS) and effective Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), courtesy of the esteemed Mucho Corazón association. This essential training equips officers with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond quickly and efficiently during cardiac emergencies, enabling them to act with confidence and competence when every moment counts.

The Amoul® i5 AEDs serve as invaluable allies in these critical situations, featuring user-friendly designs with clear audio and visual prompts that guide even untrained individuals in their efforts to restore normal heart rhythms. This reinforces the urgency of timely medical intervention, turning ordinary citizens into capable responders in the face of crises. Through this initiative, Motril emerges as a beacon for heart-healthy communities, promoting a culture steeped in awareness and readiness.

Approximately 100 AED units are now strategically placed throughout the city, continuously supplemented by the latest Amoul® i5 AEDs, including one proudly located at the bustling Alameda de Cervantes market. Each device is meticulously positioned to ensure maximum accessibility for the public, while local staff members participate in extensive training courses in Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, and the effective utilization of these vital life-saving devices.
