On August 7, 2022, the patient (male, 35-40 years old) was taken to the hospital because of sudden cardiac arrest in Pathum Thani province, Thailand. On the way to the hospital, the patient accompanists encountered a private ambulance（Mr. Suchin Rongpanich, Ruamkatanyu Foundation) that was planning to go home, so they stopped the ambulance and asked him if there was an AED.

The patient accompanists stopped the Ruamkatanyu Foundation Ambulance & asked Mr. Suchin to bring the AED.

Fortunately, his ambulance happened to be installed with an automated external defibrillator Amoul^® i5 recently, so he went to help rescue the cardiac arrest patient. The patient was unconscious at this time; his hands and feet were freezing cold, which was very dangerous.

The Emergency Medical Technician, Mr. Sachin, started to resuscitate the sudden cardiac arrest patient on the road.

They quickly started chest compressions, opened the AED device, put the electrodes on the patient's chest, and followed the voice commands. The i5 defibrillator automatically identified the heart rate of the cardiac arrest patient and delivered the first electric shock to the victim's chest, only a one-time shock, the paramedic had his hand on the side of the patient's neck, and he felt the pulse come through. Finally, the patient's heartbeat returned to normal successfully. The whole process lasted about 10 minutes.

The rescuers performed CPR, gave rescue breaths, and delivered an electric shock with the AED Amoul® i5.

The ambulance immediately transported the patient to the Thanyaburi Hospital for further treatment. After 5 minutes of arriving at the hospital, the emergency doctor measured that the patient's heartbeat had recovered 94 times per minute. What a relief! "Fate willed to save a cardiac arrest patient's life on the road and transferred to the hospital."

The patient's heartbeat returned to normal successfully and transported to Thanyaburi Hospital for further treatment.

He also mentioned it's so important that everybody knows CPR and how to use an AED to start it as quickly as you can on the victim's chest, be aware of cardiac arrest, and understand what you need to do in an emergency.
